Barcelona coach Xavi talks up Richarlison, Konate and Musiala

Barcelona coach Xavi has sung the praises of Tottenham striker Richarlison and Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate.

While at the World Cup, the Barça boss has spoken to FIFA and highlighted the players he has liked the most at the tournament so far.

Xavi has considered that, so far, Richarlison has been the best finisher, Pedri and Jamal Musiala the “most talented” players, the French defenders Dayot Upamecano and Konaté the most outstanding center-backs and Jordi Alba the most striking full-back.

The Barça coach also praised the Real Madrid stopper Thibaut Courtois as the most inspired goalkeeper between the sticks.

Xavi said that he would have loved to play alongside Pedri and Gavi — “it would be incredible”, he answered specifically – and he hoped that in the event that Spain cannot win the World Cup, then Argentina and Leo Messi, “my friend,” do.
