Barcelona wing-back Alejandro Balde is delighted for teammate Gavi over his World Cup recognition.
Gavi struck for Spain in their 7-0 World Cup win against Costa Rica.
“It’s a spectacle to see Gavi play,” said Balde.
“Yesterday we made jokes about him and I call him Gavi-Pelé, because of the record. I’m very happy for him.”
Gavi became the youngest goalscorer in a World Cup since Pele in 1958 with his goal in Spain’s 7-0 win over Costa Rica.
