Chelsea, Man Utd convinced Barcelona keen to sell De Jong

Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham could all be looking to pounce on Barcelona‘s financial situation.

The Catalan giants invested a lot of money on new players in the summer, having secured most of those funds through mortgaging club assets.

Now they are out of the Champions League in the group stages, which will severely impact their income.

Per the Evening Standard, top Premier League clubs could be ready to pick up the pieces, depending on who Barca make available for sale in January or next summer.

Midfielder Frenkie de Jong is a key target for Man United, while Chelsea also made a bid for him last summer.

He is one of the highest earners at Barca, while he is not even a guaranteed starter under coach Xavi Hernandez.
