Barcelona to enter payoff talks with Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba

Barcelona are set to enter payoff talks with Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba.

Sport says Barca want to be active in the January market and plan to make room in their wage budget by cutting veteran defensive pair Pique and Alba.

The pair are due to be paid €145m over the length of their contracts – with Pique set for €80m and Alba €65m.

Barca are aiming to negotiate pay offs with both players for the January market in order to boost their transfer plans.

It’s suggested Pique would be more prepared to leave the Catalans than Alba.
