Barcelona, Real Madrid watching Athletico Paranaense superkid Vitor Roque as Juventus make offer

Barcelona and Real Madrid are following Athletico Paranaense superkid Vitor Roque.

The 17 year-old has been the revelation of the Copa Libertadores, helping Athletico reach the final.

Roque scored a decisive goal in the round of 16 then provided an assist in the second leg of the semifinals. Athletico will meet Flamengo in the final next month.

In the Brazilian Serie A, Roque has four goals from only eight starts.

Mundo Deportivo says Barca, Real and Juventus are all watching the exciting attacking talent. Indeed, Juve have already had an opening offer of €15m turned down.

Former Brazil coach Luiz Felpe Scolari says of Roque: “He is a different player. He is 17 years old, but, due to his physical, technical and mental structure, it seems that he was 22- 23. He is a very difficult striker for defenders to stop: he protects the ball well, he is fast and he goes out of the area to team up.

“Over time he will add things to his repertoire because he is young.”
