Former Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas can’t see former teammates Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba being happy with their bench roles.
The veteran pair have found themselves sidelined this season at Barca this season.
Cesc said, “It costs a lot to accept the substitution.
“What will cost them more when they don’t play is that the next day you have to work with the substitutes while the starters recover.”
Cesc also has hopes of seeing PSG star Lionel Messi returning to Barca next season.
He stated: “I don’t know if Messi’s return to Barcelona is possible. It could be an option if Barça is open to it being possible. In the end it will be a decision for him and the club. It would be a nice ending.
“Talking negatively about Messi does not correspond to the experience I have had with him. He was the most loved and respected of the team. You valued that he was a player who made you win titles.”
