Barcelona coach Xavi is delighted with the preseason form of Miralem Pjanic.
The coach decided to take Pjanic on the tour of the United States and look at his performances before making a decision about his future. And Pjanic, who had to leave the camp for a couple of days because of the birth of his second child, is surprising Xavi.
The Bosnian had a great second-half against Juventus and, playing as a defensive midfielder, earned praise from his coach.
“I liked him a lot,” said Xavi. “He gives us a lot with the ball, he found the interior midfielders well, he has a rare vision of play in general, because there aren’t that many who can see how to play with the first touch. He’s always looking forward.
“He looks for the striker well, he helps the other midfielders open up the pitch. He played a great game.”
Pjanic is convincing Xavi, up to the point where he may even be considering him as an option this season.
