Barcelona goalkeeper Neto is seeking a payoff before moving to Celta Vigo.
Faro de Vigo says the Galician club remain optimistic about the Brazilian goalkeeper’s arrival at Balaídos but have intensified their search for alternatives.
Neto is one of five FC Barcelona players who have not travelled to the United States for the preseason tour. The Brazilian goalkeeper, who is in the orbit of Celta, is on the verge of exiting the Spanish club, but they are yet to give a definitive answer to his situation.
The goalkeeper is willing to continue his career in Balaídos, but wants to collect the fees for the remaining year of his contract at Barça, and his high tab is a roadblock in the negotiations.
Celta, for now, is on standby but remains very interested in Neto and he is their priority option for a goalkeeper.
