Rennes coach Bruno Genesio has admitted interest in Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti.
Umtiti is available from Barca this summer.
“He’s a player we know perfectly well,” explained Genesio.
“I had him during his formative years and then in Lyon’s first team and that creates a link.
“You all know his story, his qualities, the setbacks he’s had last year, but he’s still a player with a very high level, and we are interested in players who have a high level.”
Umtiti has a deal to 2026 at Barca, but has been urged to find himself a new club.
