Manchester United have made an ultimatum to Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
De Jong is wanted by new United manager Erik ten Hag, having worked with the Holland ace at Ajax.
Barca are prepared to sacrifice De Jong as they seek to boost their finances.
Sport says United are in contact with De Jong’s camp and want an answer from him about a move to Old Trafford. If he’s keen, United will open talks with Barca about a fee for the player, otherwise they will move onto other targets.
Ten Hag has told De Jong he will build the new team around him and there’s plans for over €250m in squad investment.
But he wants a quick answer with so much work to do this summer market.
