12 to go? Barcelona management plan major clearout

Barcelona management are preparing a major clearout of Xavi’s squad.

Speaking yesterday, Xavi conceded they had to sell to raise funds due to the club’s limited finances.

Goalkeeper Neto, defenders Oscar Mingueza, Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet, along with midfielder Riqui Puig, will all be encouraged to leave this summer.

Striker Martin Braithwaite will be sold, while on-loan pair Adama Traore and Luuk de Jong will be released.

Mundo Deportivo says offers will also be considered for Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay.

Philippe Coutinho, Francisco Trincao, Miralem Pjanic, Iñaki Peña and Álex Collado are playing away on-loan.

Only Pena and Collado could stay. Goalkeeper Pena would cover Neto’s departure if an offer does not arrive and winger Collado because he has been receiving messages from the club assuring him that Xavi would like to have him in next season’s squad.
