Dembele changes Barcelona contract stand as Sissoko in city for talks

Ousmane Dembele is ready to accept a pay-cut to stay with Barcelona.

Sport says the player is ready to accept an inferior offer to what he could earn elsewhere to continue under Xavi Hernandez next season.

After the meeting in Marrakech between director of football Mateu Alemany and Moussa Sissoko recently, the agent was in Barcelona for more talks.

There is still no agreement and, while there is more give than before, there is still some difference between the two parties, but Dembele’s desire — and gestures — to continue are making things easier.

The arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has without doubt increased his will to stay at Camp Nou. The club and the player’s camp will keep negotiating in the coming weeks.
