Barcelona lose Pique for Cadiz battle

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez remains without Gerard Pique.

The defender will miss Monday’s LaLiga Santander fixture against Cadiz.

The Catalan centre-back has been carrying an adductor problem since the first leg against Eintracht Frankfurt.

This represents a major problem for the coach, who is also without the suspended Ronald Araujo.

That leaves just three central defenders available for the game against Sergio Gonzalez’s side: Eric Garcia, Clement Lenglet and Oscar Mingueza.

In addition to the absence of the two defenders, Pedri and Sergi Roberto are out injured, while Ansu Fati and Samuel Umtiti have yet to receive medical clearance.
