Spanish outlet AS states that Barca coach Xavi wants to sign Salah in the summer, if his side fail to lure Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
The Egyptian would have one year left on his contract in the summer at the Anfield club.
Salah has not agreed a new deal due to his wage demands being out of reach, given Liverpool‘s wage structure.
He has also been linked to Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.
