Barcelona coach Xavi put one journalist in his place for their Europa League presser ahead of tonight’s clash against Napoli.
It was put to Xavi whether he remembered “April 5, 2001, the last time Barca played in the UEFA Cup”.
After pointing out it was actually 2004 and not 2001, Xavi responded: “I remember that UEFA was very difficult. We don’t have it (won) and it’s another motivation.
“It was Ronaldinho’s Barça, Luis Enrique was in that team… We didn’t reach the final.
“I’m very motivated and the players too. I’ve already said it makes me angry to listen to the music of the Champions League and not be there, but it has to make us stronger.”
