Barcelona have clinched a deal with Santos for first refusal on teenage pair Kaiky Fernandes and Angelo.
Barca have clinched an option for Santos defender Kaiky and striker Angelo to the tune of €3m.
Sport says the deal has been settled thanks to a previous row between the clubs over Gabriel Barbosa.
Barca had a deal with Santos for first refusal on three players, including Gabigol, in 2013. It was agreed Santos would alert Barca whenever any of the three players were to leave.
However, Santos never contacted Barca before selling Gabigol to Inter Milan, which led to the Catalans lodging a complaint with FIFA.
It’s suggested Santos must pay €3m to Barca as compensation, however they have reached a compromise by handing the Spanish giants first refusal for Kaiky and Angelo.
Santos president Andrés Rueda said, “Now we close the cycle by resolving the matter with Barcelona, we are committed to resolving pending issues and restoring the credibility of our Santos.”
