Cedric Bakambu admits he’s flattered by talk of interest from Barcelona.
A free agent after leaving Beijing Guoan, the former Villarreal striker is back in Europe.
Bakambu told Foot Mercato: “It’s going well. Right now, I’m in Paris, it’s the transfer window period, I’m waiting to sign up with a club. I train with my personal physical trainer before rediscovering the pleasure of training in a group. I do a lot of cardio, fitness, and indoor training.
“Of course it’s flattering to be associated with Barça. Now, it’s not an end in itself, I take it as a source of motivation, it pushes me to perform. It proves that my work in China paid off.
“Despite the fact that I went into exile on the other side of the planet, the European teams still think of Cédric Bakambu and, for me, it’s the fruit of the work accomplished, let’s put it that way.”
