Barcelona and Manchester City announced Torres’ departure for the Nou Camp on Tuesday morning after he had passed his medical the previous day.
A fee between the two clubs for the Spain international was agreed last week worth €55m plus a further €10m in bonuses.
Torres’ move to Barca means a return to the LaLiga for the former Valencia winger after two years away in England with City, where he won the Premier League title last season.
