Chelsea‘s players are not happy that club captain Cesar Azpilicueta may leave in the summer.
The veteran Spaniard, who has played as a right back and right sided centre-back to great effect over the past nine years, has won nearly everything with the team.
Azpi has won the Premier League twice, Champions League, FA Cup and the Europa League.
According to Eurosport, some Chelsea players are “bewildered” that the club is not doing more to keep Azpi for next season and beyond.
While he is no longer first choice, his teammates believe that he still plays an important role on and off the pitch.
Barcelona continue to be linked with Azpilicueta, who can sign a pre-contract agreement with the Spanish club next month.
