Al Sadd have warned Barcelona they do not want to lose coach Xavi.

Al Sadd are refusing to let the Catalan leave.

The Qatari club’s CEO Turki Al-Ali has released a short statement this Wednesday, the day on which members of Barcelona‘s board travelled to Doha to meet with Al Sadd representatives.

“We welcome the visit of the administrative delegation from Barcelona and we appreciate and respect this,” Turki Al-Ali’s statement started.

“The club’s position is clear from the beginning. We are committed to keeping our coach Xavi with us and we cannot have him leave at this sensitive time of the season.”
