Barcelona coach Koeman unsure ‘how much credit I have’

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman is unsure how long he has in the job after defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Koeman remains safe for now after backing from president Joan Laporta.

He said, “I don’t know how much credit I have. It’s always complicated because results always count. Now we have three games at home, Valencia and Real Madrid with the Dynamo Kiev game in the Champions League — where we have to take nine points from next three to get through — in between.

“We have two weeks before then. I haven’t risked Alba today to make sure we have him in two weeks. I hope Ansu Fati in two weeks is better physically. I hope Aguero, Dembele are close to coming back. More options in attack. That’s what we need.

“Players with quality, different from what we have. Also, we have to correct the mistakes we have made today. Two goals when they’ve found space which we have lost, which cannot happen.”
