Dutch greats Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten insist Frenkie de Jong should be contributing more to Barcelona.
The midfielder again was low key in Barca’s victory over Levante.
Commentating for Ziggo Sport, Gullit said: “I think Frenkie de Jong is a great player, but I just want to see more of him. He’s too protected. If he does not play well, it is because he does not play in his position. Well, whatever position he played in midfield, he didn’t play well. He must always give something more.”
According to Van Basten, De Jong should have “more depth” in his game.
