Barcelona midfielder Pedri is happy to be back in action.
Having been a key player for the Catalans last term, the teenager then went to Euro 2020 and then on to the Olympic Games, before returning from Tokyo to immediately start pre-season without any rest.
Now, he has shortened his downtime this international break in order to get ready for Barcelona‘s Champions League debut next week. He featured in the friendly against AE Prat on Wednesday.
“I prefer to be playing,” Pedri said to EFE.
“Things are worse when you’re on the outside. I really want to start.
“It’s true that rest is important, but after three or four days you just want to be back on the pitch to do what you enjoy the most.”
