Argentine great Juan Roman Riquelme believes Lionel Messi will eventually return to Barcelona.
Former Barca midfielder imagines Messi returning to the Blaugrana after winning the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain.
“I think Messi will win the Champions League with PSG and will retire with Barcelona. I hope so,” said the vice president of Boca Juniors.
Riquelme, though, is looking forward to enjoying Messi play alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe this season after the French club turned down Real Madrid‘s bids for the latter.
“I hope Messi keeps having fun in Paris,” he said. “I don’t know if it’s strange, but we are all excited to see him with Mbappe and Neymar. If they don’t win the Champions League now, they never will.”
