Memphis Depay is confident he will be registered by Barcelona this season.
The former Lyon striker has joined Barca in a Bosman deal, though there are claims the LaLiga won’t register him for the new season as the Catalans struggle to fit their wage bill under the imposed salary cap.
At his presentation on Thursday, Memphis said of the situation: “It doesn’t worry me, I focus on football. The board is working on that issue. It is not my responsibility. I totally trust the board.”
Meanwhile, it’s emerged that Memphis’ contract with Barca carries a €500m buyout clause.
The striker’s contract will initially run to 2023.
