Barcelona warn Everton they must cough up for Neto

Everton are stepping up their interest in Barcelona goalkeeper Neto.

The Brazilian, formerly of Valencia, is expected to leave Barca this summer after two years playing understudy to outright No1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Mundo Deportivo says Everton are in contact, where sporting director Marcel Brands believes Neto can offer Jordan Pickford the necessary competition he has missed in recent seasons.

Barca are willing to part with Neto, but will insist on a transfer fee.

He originally arrived from VCF in a swap for Jasper Cillessen.
