Barcelona not dropping attempts to have Koeman available for Atletico Madrid clash

Barcelona aren’t dropping attempts to overturn coach Ronald Koeman‘s ban

Marca says the appeals committee has thrown out Barcelona‘s case against the two-game ban handed out to Ronald Koeman, and the club will now take the matter to the Administrative Tribunal for Sport (TAD).

Koeman was sanctioned for comments made to the fourth official in Barcelona‘s loss at home Granada last week.

Saturday’s game against Atletico Madrid would be the second and final match of his touchline ban, but the Blaugrana are desperate to have their head coach back in the dugout for the key clash.

During the match against Granada, after being warned several times, Koeman addressed the fourth official with the phrase “what a character!” and was promptly sent off.
