Man Utd target Pau Torres leaning on ex-Liverpool fullback Alberto Moreno for advice

Villarreal defender Pau Torres is leaning on former Liverpool fullback Alberto Moreno for advice.

Moreno, who spent five years at Liverpool, playing in the 2016 Europa League final.

Sport report that Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all chasing the centre-back and he is expected to depart in the summer.

And Torres will hope that the advice of the likes of Moreno will help him to make a decision over which club to sign with.

“Players who have gone through important clubs, when they talk about an experience they have had, I like to listen to them,” he told Sport.

“Both Paco Alcácer and Raúl Albiol or Alberto Moreno. They tell you things that you have not yet experienced and that you think you would like to experience.”

Despite the interest, Torres has insisted that a transfer is not on his mind, as he prepares to take part in a Europa League semi-final against Arsenal on Thursday.

“I’m not thinking about that either, there is still a lot ahead of me and my short-term goals are the European semi-final and then to be available for the national team,” he said.

“Right now I have a contract (until 2024) and I know that I still have room for improvement.

“I know that I am in a club where they will treat me well, I will not lack anything and that is very important to me.”
