LIVE: Cadiz vs Real Madrid

After winning 1-0 in the reverse fixture this season at Alfredo Di Stefano, Cadiz could become the first newly promoted side to record a league double against Real Madrid since Real Burgos in 1990/91.

Zidane has made five changes to his side from their draw against Getafe last time out. Varane and Nacho are fit enough to return to the fold, which sees Chust drop to the bench. Casemiro comes into the middle of the park along with Blanco. Isco, Mariano and Asensio also drop out of the side. Modric is absent from the squad this evening. Benzema spearheads the attack in the final third.

Cadiz have made one change to their side that drew against Celta Vigo last time out. Izquierdo comes into the side in the middle of the park to replace Malbasic, who drops to the bench. Negredo continues to lead the line alongside Sobrino in the final third with Sanchez for support.

REAL MADRID SUBS: Daniel Carvajal, Marco Asensio, Andriy Lunin, Isco, Mariano Diaz, Diego Altube, Sergio Arribas, Victor Chust, Miguel Gutierrez.

Real Madrid return to action for the first time since the collapse of the European Super League. Los Blancos were in the headlines for the wrong reasons over the last three days, but now have to turn their attention to matters on the field. Zinedine Zidane’s men can move level on points with Atletico Madrid at the top of the table with a win tonight. A run of four-straight wins in LaLiga was ended last time out by Getafe, who held Los Blancos to a 0-0 draw. Madrid need to be firing on all cylinders.

Cadiz begin the evening nine points clear of the relegation zone and will believe that one more win will push them clear of danger. Alvaro Cervera’s men are unbeaten in their last three games, recording wins over Valencia and Getafe before drawing 0-0 with Celta Vigo last time out. Los Piratas are in form, but it will take a special effort to knock off Madrid this evening.

Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the LaLiga clash between Cadiz and Real Madrid at the Ramon de Carranza.
