Barcelona insisted Suarez could not move to Man Utd, Man City

There was no chance of Luis Suarez moving to Manchester United this summer – thanks to his old Barcelona contract.

Suarez was pushed out of Barca before the start of the season, eventually signing for Atletico Madrid.

And the Mirror reports former Liverpool striker Suarez had a Manchester United clause written into his Barcelona contract.

The clause prevented Suarez from signing for the Red Devils on a free, even after his contract with the Catalan giants had expired.

Other clubs on Barcelona‘s prohibited list included: Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and, of course, Real Madrid.
