Frenkie de Jong’s opener for Barca was canceled out by a Mikel Oyarzabal penalty struck for La Real after a Sergi Busquets handball.
With the scores locked at 1-1 after extra time, the tie went to penalties, with Barca winning via Riqui Puig’s decisive spotkick.
