Victor Valdes has left his coaching job at Horta.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper is set to join Joan Laporta’s presidential ticket ahead of this month’s election.
Should Laporta be voted in for a second spell as president, Valdes will be part of the coaching staff.
The former Barca No1 left the club in 2014 having won 21 titles in 21 seasons.
He was part of the club’s academy coaching staff last year before leaving after falling out with youth chief Patrick Kluivert.
