Barcelona are confident over Oscar Mingueza’s situation.
The defender’s current deal expires at the end of this season.
But Barca have an option for Mingueza for another two years, though he can expect a more formal round of negotiations after the January 24 presidential election.
Having been with the club for 14 years, Mingueza’s priority is to stay with Barca.
Sport says it’s also been decided the defender will not return to Barca B this term.
