No matter the outcome of the Barcelona presidential election, Lionel Messi is expected to leave the club in 2021.
That’s according to El Chiringuito’s Quim Domenech, who says Messi’s chances of signing a new contract and staying is now “50 per cent”.
“It’s difficult for Messi to continue at FC Barcelona,” said Domenech.
Messi has been linked with a January move to Manchester City, which are prepared to pay €50m to take the Argentine immediately.
PSG are also in the frame, where Argentina teammate Leandro Paredes and former Barca teammate Neymar are in regular contact.
