Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman admits their transfer plans hinge on what happens with the club’s elections.
Given the vote will be held on January 24, it means Barca will only have a week to work the winter market.
Koeman confirmed: “The only one I speak with is Ramon Planes on the sporting issue. And with no one else.
“We have to wait to see who comes as president. As of January 24 we will talk. Now it’s my turn to lead the team and prepare.
“There is not that much time to talk about this either. We’ll see what happens in January. I have already said what I think several times.”
On Lionel Messi declaring himself “excited” about their season chances, Koeman wasn’t surprised.
He added: “For me, it is not necessary that Messi does an interview saying that, because I see that he wants this every day. He is with his teammates.
“For a winner like him, it is hard for him not to win every game. The other things that he is going to say (in the full interview) I don’t know, we will see. But the desire that he said he has I see every day.”
