Antoine Griezmann mixed emotions after Barcelona draw

Antoine Griezmann had mixed emotions after Barcelona‘s 1-1 draw with Alaves.

Griezmann gave an honest assessment of his season to date after scoring his first goal of the campaign against Alaves.

The Frenchman netted Barcelona‘s equaliser at Mendizorroza as their winless run stretched to four matches in LaLiga Santander.

“We’re missing lots [of chances to score], I’m the first to recognise that,” Griezmann said at full time. “We have to work in order to improve. The season is very long and we’re going to get more reliable.

“I was missing a lot [of chances]. The team needs my goals and I’m trying to improve on that. I feel good, I’m enjoying myself. I’ve still got a long way to go, but with confidence, hard work and humility, we’ll get there.”

With the draw against Alaves, Barcelona have now picked up two points from a possible 12 in LaLiga Santander.

“We’re annoyed and angry because we wanted three points,” Griezmann said. “We’ve got a lot to improve on. We have to work towards Wednesday’s game [against Dinamo Kiev] and try to win.

“We had lots of chances, but we only scored one. We’re not doing very well. We have to improve and it’ll be through hard work. We need to be calm because the season is long.”
