Manchester United are using talk of interest in Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele to turn pressure on Borussia Dortmund over long-term target Jadon Sancho.
United are said to be in negotiations with Barca over a deal for the France international.
But Leo Messi’s biographer, Guillem Balague, revealed on social media: “Manchester United insist they have not and will not make an offer to buy Dembélé. FCB are not interested in a loan deal if it doesn’t involve a buy option.
“FCB believe the reports of MUFC wanting him on loan work to add pressure to Jadon Sancho and Borussia, their ultimate target.”
