Ansu Fati demanding bumper pay-rise at Barcelona

Ansu Fati is seeking a bumper pay-rise at Barcelona.

Marca says the inclusion of the 17-year-old in Ronald Koeman‘s senior squad for this season means he’ll wear the No.22 shirt and that his release clause has risen to 400 million euros.

However, his official call up to the first team hasn’t triggered a clause to extend his contract, which still expires in 2022.

The forward still remains under age, meaning he can’t sign a contract of more than two years at a time.

That’s why Barcelona have signalled their intention to offer Ansu Fati a new and improved contract for when he turns 18, which could be worth up to 10 million euros per season.

At the moment, there are no talks being held between player and club, which is expected to remain the case until a new board is elected in next year.
