Deportivo La Coruna legend Fran has advised Lionel Messi to speak publicly about his transfer situation.
Messi has handed in a transfer request and was absent for Barcelona‘s preseason testing over the weekend.
A one-club man in his career, Fran thinks it is important Messi to explain what has happened.
“It’s a complicated situation and it’s painful for everyone,” he told Radio MARCA.
“Now is when the rumours start to fly around and the best thing would be for both parties to come forward and explain things.
“It would be good if Messi held a press conference and explained what’s happened.
“We’re talking about a once in a lifetime player who has played a huge role in the most successful period in the club’s history.”
