But Al Sadd coach told El Pais: “An extension even for one year? He deserves it.
“Messi needs Barca and Barca need Messi. They have to make him happy, because with Leo Messi happy they will win more titles. I keep a great friendship with him, I respect him a lot. He is a competitive animal, he always wants to win and for ten years he has been the best footballer in the world.
“I hope we can meet again professionally. To have the best player in history on your team is to have an ace to win.”
