LIVE: Wolves vs Sevilla

8′ Boly is taken to the sidelines as the medical team treat the injury to his left thigh, leaving Wolves temporarily down to 10 men, but Reguilon crosses out of play and Boly returns to the field.

6′ Boly is down on the turf and play is eventually stopped so he can be seen to. It’s not yet clear how serious the injury to the French centre-back is.

4′ OVER! Neves is pulled back and wins a free-kick in Sevilla’s half, which is chipped into the box and Dendoncker gets a toe to it on the stretch, but he lifts his awkward effort over the bar and it lands on the roof of the net!

1′ CHANCE! An early chance for Wolves as Traore skips away down the right, works half a yard at the byline and clips a cross into the middle for Jimenez, who heads at goal, but the striker’s effort is tame and Bounou holds on comfortably.

1′ We’re off! Wolves get the game underway!

However, Sevilla are currently unbeaten in 18 games in all competitions (W9 D9) since losing to Celta Vigo in LaLiga in February – this is their longest ever unbeaten run as a top-flight club. Additionally, they have only lost one of their eight knockout matches in major European competition against English opposition (P8 W5 D2 L1), losing 2-0 to Leicester City in the Champions League last 16 in 2016-17.

Wolves have reached their first European quarter-final since the 1971-72 UEFA Cup – that season they defeated Juventus in the quarter-finals and Ferencvaros in the semi-finals, but fell at the final hurdle to Tottenham.

Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui, on the other hand, names an unchanged line-up from the 2-0 win over Roma in the last round. With no injuries or suspensions since that game, the former Real Madrid boss is able to keep faith with the side that clinched a spot the last eight.

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo makes two enforced changes to the side that beat Olympiacos 1-0 in their last outing, with Dendoncker and Vinagre replacing the injured Jonny and the suspended Daniel Podence. The change of personnel also prompts a change in system as the Premier League side shift from a 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2.

Sevilla substitutes: Sergi Gomez, Franco Vazquez, Luuk de Jong, Pablo Perez Rico, Oliver Torres, Munir El Haddadi, Jose Lara, Sergio Escudero, Tomas Vaclik, Javi Diaz, Genaro Rodriguez, Jose Mena.

Sevilla XI (4-3-3): Yassine Bounou; Jesus Navas, Jules Kounde, Diego Carlos, Sergio Reguilon; Ever Banega, Fernando, Joan Jordan; Suso, Youssef En-Nesyri, Lucas Ocampos.

Wolves substitutes: Lewis Richards, Christian Marques, Andreas Sondergaard, Pedro Neto, Morgan Gibbs-White, John Ruddy, Maximilian Kilman, Oskar Buur, Bruno Jordao, Leonardo Campana, Diogo Jota.

Wolves XI (3-5-2): Rui Patricio; Willy Boly, Conor Coady, Romain Saiss; Matt Doherty, Leander Dendoncker, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Vinagre; Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez.

Wolves and Sevilla meet for the first time in their history as they contend for a spot in the last four of the competition. The winner of tonight’s tie will face Manchester United in the semi-finals, who progressed last night courtesy of a 1-0 extra-time victory over Copenhagen.
