Francisco Trincao is expecting a culture shock when he joins Barcelona for preseason.
Signed by Barca in February, Trincao has played out the season with Braga and ended his time with the club with victory over Porto last weekend.
“Maybe on vacation, or when I get to Barcelona, I will realise that things are going to change. It will cost me a little, but football is like that,” he said.
“In recent days I have felt nostalgic. I thought about everything I went through in this club, all the fields where I played in moments when there was not even a Sports City. I was almost crying, this was my home during my adolescence and I will miss it.
“I knew this goodbye was difficult, after a series of games in which we did not get the results we wanted. It ended up going well for us.”
He added: “Thanks for all the love in the stadium and in the city. They always supported me, even when I played less. I have always been very well received on the street. Braga will always be my home.”
