Man Utd refuse to drop Ansu Fati pursuit; contract offer made

Manchester United aren’t giving up on their pursuit of Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati.

United failed with a €100m offer for the teen last week, but Sport says that hasn’t put off the Premier League giants.

Indeed, they’re now willing to go higher to prise Fati away, with super agent Jorge Mendes acting as intermediary between all parties involved.

Fati’s current deal carries a €170m buyout clause, while Barca are keen to hand him new terms and upgrade the option to €400m.

United have taken an advantage of the impasse and are offering to TRIPLE Fati’s current wages to bring him to England.

For his part, Fati is prepared to stay, though wants playing assurances for next season before fully committing.
