Chelsea, Arsenal boost as Barcelona struggle to shop Umtiti in Serie A

Chelsea and Arsenal have received a boost with news that Barcelona are not able to sell Samuel Umtiti for a big fee.

The Frenchman has suffered knee problems in the past year, and that has reduced his asking price.

Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli have an interest in the 26-year-old centre-back.

Calcio Mercato says the Frenchman is not attracting those clubs at his current asking price, though.

And that could open the door for Chelsea and Arsenal, who both want to sign Umtiti for next season.

Umtiti has been with Barcelona since 2016, when he arrived from Lyon. He had an excellent first season, but has struggled with knee problems since then.
