Friends close to PSG star Neymar have denied the claims of Barcelona captain Lionel Messi this week.
This week, Messi declared hopes of Barcelona bringing back his former teammate, insisting Neymar was eager to see the move happen.
“I have said it repeatedly, in sporting terms, Neymar is one of the best in world and I would like him to come back,” said the Argentine. “Neymar has a great desire to return, he has always been sorry. He did a lot to come back and apologising would be the first step in trying to come back.”
However, a source close to Neymar has denied Messi’s claims.
“These words are not true. Messi talks about the past, not the current situation,” the insider told L’Equipe.
