Leganes coach Aguirre blows fuse over Braithwaite, En-Nesyri sales: They’ve SCREWED us

Leganes coach Javier Aguirre has launched a furious response after losing two of his strikers over the past month to LaLiga rivals.

Youssef En-Nesyri left for Sevilla in the January transfer window, whilst Barcelona paid Martin Braithwaite‘s release clause after being granted permission to make an emergency signing due to the injury to Ousmane Dembele.

“As they say in Mexico, they’ve screwed us,” Aguirre explained in his pre-match press conference.

“We’re bottom of the table and big clubs have taken two of our players, but the sun has risen today and as long as FIFA let us play with 11, I’m happy with what I have.

“It has never happened to me that you can lose a player in one day; it’s hard to imagine, but the 26 players I have left are great players.”

Barcelona have added Braithwaite to help ease their injury woes in attack, but Aguirre refused to discuss that deal in any more detail.

“I don’t know what to say anymore, I’ve run out of rabbits in my top hat; we’re going to fight like animals,” he confirmed.

“I don’t know what Braithwaite is going to contribute to Barcelona.

“I’m not here to talk about that, they will know why they signed him.”
