Rangers boss Steven Gerrard admits the arrival of Barcelona striker Luis Suarez at Liverpool transformed the team.
Asked who the greatest players he ever played with were he listed, in order, ex-Liverpool strikers Suarez and Fernando Torres and Liverpool-born former England team-mate Wayne Rooney.
“The arrival of him took us to the next level,” Gerrard says of Suarez. “The best player pound-for-pound I’ve played with.”
On Torres, the 39-year-old adds: “He could turn average passes into good passes by his pace and his power. We got the best Fernando Torres, if you look at his whole career, we got the best two years.”
