Juventus chief Paratici raises influence of Barcelona and Real Madrid on Ballon d’Or

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has questioned the influence of Barcelona and Real Madrid on the Ballon d’Or.

Juve striker Cristiano Ronaldo was overlooked for the award for the second year in a row as Barca star Lionel Messi claimed the prize in Monday’s ceremony.

“It’s difficult to say if the Ballon d’Or was taken away from Ronaldo, but there’s no doubt that clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona have a lot of power,” Paratici said.

With Ronaldo not getting the recognition he feels he deserves, what does his future at Juventus hold?

“Will Ronaldo stay? Of course,” Paratici said.
