Barcelona, Real Madrid chasing Arsenal captain Aubameyang

Barcelona and Real Madrid are chasing Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Daily Star says the 30-year-old has been the Gunners’ star player since signing from Dortmund in 2017, scoring 31 goals last season and with nine to his name already so far in the current campaign.

His contract is due to expire at the end of next season, however, and he is unlikely to stay if Arsenal fail to secure Champions League football.

Both Barca and Real are both aware of the contract situation, and are monitoring Aubameyang closely.

Aubameyang has also been linked with a move to China in the past on a lucrative contract, but he is thought to be keen to stay in Europe for now.
