Barcelona defender Xavier Mbuyamba admits he could be playing for Chelsea this season.
However, as the teen reveals, Chelsea‘s transfer ban prevented him from moving to London while still withd MVV Maastricht. Instead, he eventually joined Barca.
“Chelsea wanted to offer me a three-year contract,” Mbuyamba explained to FOX Sports. “But the transfer ban prevented me from going there. But there were also many other clubs that wanted me, including Barcelona.”
Mbuyamba is now playing and training for Barca’s U17 team.
“I live in the La Masia training complex, together with eighty other boys, including basketball players and handball players in addition to football players. It is going well, I have found my way, I train well and I play well.”
